Mimi Loveseat (Made to order Fabrics)

Scaled for smaller patios, the Mimi loveseat by Celerie Kemble seats two across 55 inches without the footprint a full sofa demands. It is the piece for a courtyard, a balcony or a porch corner where the seating has to be charming and compact at the same time. Paired with the Mimi cuddle chair or a pair of lounge chairs, it completes a group in a genuinely small space.

Design and Construction

The frame is premium weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum wrapped in polyethylene synthetic fiber and hand-finished to resemble natural rattan, shown in Raffia. Cut through that frame is the quatrefoil pattern that gives Mimi its identity, a vintage Palm Beach motif that reads as decorative from across a terrace and as fine craftsmanship up close. Extruded aluminum underneath means the whimsy is structural, not fragile.

Comfort and Seating

The seat measures 50 inches wide by 21 inches deep at a 20 inch seat height, so nearly the entire 55 inch width goes to seating. That shallow 21 inch depth is deliberate: it keeps the loveseat compact front to back at 36 inches overall, which is what allows it to work on a patio where deep seating would swallow the floor. Arms sit low at 23 inches, three inches above the cushion, contributing to the light, open look of the quatrefoil frame.

Fabric and Finish Options

The quatrefoil frame is hand finished in Raffia to read like natural rattan. Cushions can be covered in any fabric from the Lane Venture performance collection, each one solution dyed so color saturates the fiber and resists fading in bright sun.
